WDGA KENYA
WDGA’s signature program, 2Steps2Work, accomplishes its goal through Education, Exposure, Empowerment, Experience, Employment with a “Get Along to Get Ahead” motto.
Education, Exposure, Empowerment, Experience, And Employment.
WDGA implemented its 2steps2work programs in Kenya in 2006. The Workforce Development Global Alliance (WDGA) prepares the youth – tomorrow’s workforce – for economic independence through employment opportunities.
Our 2Steps2Work Campaign delivers a program that equips youth to resolve conflict (Get Along) and provides the career development skills to become employable (Get Ahead).
Our 2-step program involves connecting youth with the ethics of Teamwork, Integrity, and Excellence!
These attributes lead to higher educational standards, improved performance, and upgraded quality of life helping to break barriers to destiny.

Our initiative in Kenya
Our goal is to educate, expose and empower the youth of Kenya, and to help their lights shine as bright as possible.
THE FIRST STEP
STEP 1 (GET ALONG)
Equips youth with problem-solving skills to resolve conflict.
The program trains and equips 15-25 year olds [with an emphasis on high-school students] providing the essential tools needed to maintain peaceful relationships and succeed in today’s workforce. Program activities have been designed to further the organization’s five main goals:
1. To motivate opportunity youth to remain committed to their education by demystifying the path to formal labor market employment and drawing connections between the classroom and the workroom
2. To expose youth to career paths of opportunity and new ways to avert violence, so they can begin to envision hope where they live.
3. To empower youth by engaging their voice and developing their leadership skills, in order to cultivate the civic leaders of tomorrow.
4. To equip youth with the vocational and interpersonal experience necessary to be competitive in their career path.
5. To guide youth through their path to employment, helping them define personal goals and become self-sufficient citizens.
THE SECOND STEP
STEP 2 (GET AHEAD)
Provides the career development skills to become employable.

Voices Of Our Students
“It is evident that the 2Steps2Work program is more than an extra-curricular acvity. The change noced by the teaching staff through the students shows a contrast between those in the program and those yet to join. I will connue to encourage parents to support their chil- dren to parcipate in all WDGA acvities.”

“”WDGA has been a great blessing to me. Knowledge is power. It will give you honor before kings, and to this point, I am an honorable mom to my child, to my family, and to my community. Maybe our founder did not know the impact at the moment, but today after many years what Niecy gave us is more powerful than money or gold.”
